It’s good news for Lincolnshire businesses. Sharedband and BT have come together to launch a new kind of ADSL broadband service, which will have many advantages for local business customers.

With this new service, customers will have the benefit of getting speeds equivalent to up to four ADSL lines, running right up to their office location. Moreover, applications such as VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), Video Conferencing, setting up of virtual private networks and off-site data backup will now be much easier, thanks to the new service. All these activities form an important aspect of a business’ functioning.

The new broadband technology has been extremely useful to Househam Sprayer, a Lincolnshire-based business. Its IT manager Stephen Heath said that they were now getting 2MB upstream speeds, which showed that the service had an edge over competing services. The download speeds had also doubled, and the connection was perfectly compatible with their existing Virtual Private Network. Their offices or branches in far off locations were now able to access their network in a much more secure and faster way.

Although people living in the rural areas can also benefit from this service, they will be getting comparatively lower broadband speeds if they are situated too far away from the exchange.
