Getting Into The Right Mindset When It Comes To Web Design
There is a certain delicate balance between good Web design and Web design that goes overboard.
Sure people love to look at websites that are made completely in flash because they appeal to people and sometimes are even easier to navigate through as they entertain.
The problem flashlights however is that they are very hard index in fact if the site is all flash chances are none of the content will be indexed therefore you will not get any traffic from the search engines anymore than building a website is made completely of pictures.
We think about building a website you should be thinking about the content, the words – because 90% your traffic is going to come from search engines! When building your content empire on the web you should realize that the most important thing in your website is the content.
When I say content I am not talking about the pictures or the flash objects, things of that nature, I’m talking about the actual words typed into the site. Good web design puts words before pictures.
All the pictures and other elements in the site are there to support content the words which should only be done in moderation. The dressing up of your site is there to appeal to the person reading a site but words are the most important part of your page and carry much more weight than how site looks.
You have to realize that a site that has good content and no pictures will always get more traffic and even bookmarks than a beautiful sight with all the bells and whistles and no decent content!
